We don't have any puppies right now,
but we have a couple of breedings planned for
2012:
Ukc-Ch Wildwest
Nouveau Flamenco x Can Ch Wildwest Ole de Shelgrande
- Tris and blues. Possibly bi colors.
Will this litter materialize? I hope so. Olé
has missed the last three times so I am not holding
my breath. If it's meant to be ... it'll
happen. Puppies (if Olé is pregnant) are due
late February. All show prospects are spoken
for.
What do I
expect from this breeding? Beautiful, healthy,
fun and smart Shelties! Both Capo &
Olé have what I consider ideal show dog
temperaments--they show, show, show, and at home
they just chill out and enjoy life. These guys are
loving and sweet companions, very much enjoying
snuggling on the couch, and also very responsive to
me when I call them or ask them to do anything.
They both have excellent health histories.
Capo moves cleanly in all directions, and Olé has that beautiful flying trot. Both carry
a lovely coat without being too much coat.
Each has a sweet expression and each is just naughty
enough and smart enough to do whatever they set
their mind to. Capo loves to play fetch, and while
Olé is not a fetch-meister herself, her dad
was so I am hoping to keep that love of fetch in my
line with this breeding. All in all, I think
this could be one of my best litters yet. Oh how I
hope it materializes and these hopes and dreams are
realized!

If the breeding was a success, puppies are due to
arrive in late March.
I am also
very excited about this breeding with Capo and
Ditto. Ditto is a live wire, tons of fun in a
20 pound Sheltie body. This girl loves to go,
to play, to jump, to live! Thankfully, she
also knows how to kickback and enjoy a quiet evening
at home as well (but at one point we did wonder if
she would ever settle down). Her favorite
lounging spot is on the
back of the couch near her man, Earl. Ditto
comes from a line of "guy" dogs. Her mom (the
blue puppy pictured at the top of this page), her
mom's mom and Ditto herself all love men best of all. It's not that she
doesn't like women, but she really turns it on for
the guys.
Anyhow,
Ditto brings her firecracker personality and Capo
brings his sweetie-pie show dog-ness self into the
equation to hopeful equal some outstanding Shelties. Conformationally, these guys both
bring beautiful fronts (helllooo prosternum!), clean
movement in every direction, strong toplines, what I
consider to be about the perfect eye, and lovely
head detail. I am expecting pretty, pretty, pretty
faces along with great structure. I think
there is a potential for an excellent performance
prospect from this breeding as well as top notch
conformation prospects. I will be retaining
the pick puppy from this litter. A female
companion puppy is already spoken for from one of
these litters.
